The market town of Schliersee with its approx. 6,750 inhabitants is located in the district of Miesbach, not far from the county seat of Miesbach and directly in the tourist region of Tegernsee-Schliersee. The high school in Miesbach can be reached by train and the high school in Tegernsee by bus. There is a train station (BRB) in Schliersee and in Neuhaus with connections to Munich and Bayrischzell. There are also numerous doctors and pharmacies in the center of Schliersee and Neuhaus. Restaurants, bakers and cafés as well as various shopping facilities are also located in the village.
