Location description

Oberkrämer and its seven districts are located in the far southwest of the district of Oberhavel. The lowland area of the Havelbogen (so-called basin of the Berlin glacial valley), also known as the Havelländisches Luch, begins here topographically.

Since 1998, the district of Vehlefanz - not to be confused with Neu-Vehlefanz - has belonged to the municipality of Oberkrämer. The 50-hectare Mühlensee lake lies between the districts of Vehlefanz, Schwante and Neu-Vehlefanz and is part of the Nauen-Brieselang-Krämer landscape conservation area.
