In the last two decades of the 19th century, the terrain above the Elster Valley on Straßberger Straße was built on with elaborately designed town villas.<br/>The villa of the industrialist Richard Zöbisch was built in 1896/97 according to plans by Carl Brandt.<br/>The listed building has an almost square floor plan.
