Schwachhausen is combined with the districts Neu-Schwachhausen, Barkhof, Gete, Riensberg and Radio Bremen. The district is particularly attractive due to many detached houses and villas in Art Nouveau style, as well as the directly adjacent Bürgerpark. The Barkhof is in the immediate vicinity of the train station and the Bremen Parkhotel. A popular shopping street with many small stores is Wachmannstraße and the Focke Museum is a well-known destination. A synagogue rebuilt after the war is also located in Schwachhausen, as is the St. Joseph-Stift hospital, which has been in existence since 1880. The district is very easy to reach by streetcar (lines 4, 5, 6, 8) and also by car.
