Essen-Rüttenscheid
The largest and most attractive district of Rüttenscheid, two to three kilometers south of the city center, is home to Messe Essen, the popular Gruga Park, which was laid out in 1929, and the Grugahalle with 8,500 seats. Rüttenscheider Strasse offers a wide range of shopping facilities, restaurants and pubs, and Rüttenscheider Platz with its twice-weekly market is not far away. The subway takes you to the city center in just a few minutes, bus lines also go to other parts of the city, and to the south is the A 52 motorway with two exits.
