The climatic health resort of Dersau is idyllically situated on the western shore of the Großer Plöner See. The Großer Plöner See is a magnet for water sports enthusiasts and bathers. Joggers, walkers, cycling enthusiasts and dog owners can enjoy the clear sea air in the local recreation area of beautiful Holstein Switzerland with its hiking and cycling trails.
The 900-inhabitant community has an intensive club life with a sports and sailing club, tennis court, equestrian center with hall, physiotherapy, a fitness studio, the volunteer fire department and much more.
The good infrastructure offers the residents a kindergarten, a hairdresser, a vet, a hotel and its own landing stage for the "Plöner-See-Rundfahrt" passenger ships.
Bus connections to Ascheberg and Plön are also available. All types of schools, doctors, pharmacies and everyday necessities can be found here.
