Over the years, several renovations/refurbishments have been carried out on the entire residential building. In 2013, the main focus was on renovating the energy efficiency of the house. The façade was insulated, the windows were replaced from the ground floor to the 3rd floor and a new front door was installed. The balconies were also renovated and stainless steel railings were installed on the balcony. The doorbell and intercom system was also replaced. The costs for the energy-efficient refurbishment amounted to approx. 170,000 euros.
Before the energy refurbishment began. The northern outer wall of the basement was painted with bitumen before the energy-efficient renovation began. The roof had already been renewed in 2004 at a cost of around EUR 20,000.
