The town stretches along the south of the eastern shore of the Obersee, the largest part of Lake Constance in terms of area. What makes the town of Lindau unique is the island in front of it in the middle of Lake Constance, on which the historic old town, the railroad station and this property are located in the second row of the lake and within walking distance of the shore.
