Wiemelhausen
Wiemelhausen stretches from the city center of Bochum to the popular residential area of Stiepel. It is one of the most attractive residential areas of Bochum. Wiemelhausen is quite diverse and thus offers everything from quiet side streets to lively city proximity, but in an upscale standard. In the urban lively north is also the theater and other public facilities. The only exceptions to the character of the town are the two industrial areas in the western part. On the former site of the Prinz Regent colliery, the Bochum Philharmonic Orchestra has settled in addition to new businesses. Transportation: Oviedo-Ring in the district, subway U35 direction Querenburg, Stadtmitte and Herne, train station Ehrenfeld S1 direction Düsseldorf and Dortmund. Streetcars in the direction of Dahlhausen/Hattingen and City/Gerthe. Numerous bus lines go to the center and other parts of the city.
