Wiemelhausen
Wiemelhausen stretches from the city center of Bochum to the border with Stiepel. It is one of Bochum's most attractive residential areas. Wiemelhausen is quite varied and thus offers everything from quiet side streets to lively areas close to the city center, but to a higher standard. The lively urban area is also home to the Schauspielhaus theater and other public facilities. The Bochum Music Center is the concert hall for the Bochum Symphony Orchestra and also has a hall for the municipal music school. The site of the former Prinz Regent colliery is now used for a variety of purposes: in addition to new businesses, there is the Prinz Regent Theater and a discotheque. Transport links: Oviedo-Ring in the district, subway U35 towards Querenburg, Stadtmitte and Herne, Ehrenfeld station S1 towards Düsseldorf and Dortmund. Streetcars in the direction of Dahlhausen/Hattingen and City/Gerthe. Numerous bus lines to the city center and other districts.
