The property is a flat woodland plot with only a slight slope to the north-east, which is mostly covered with a 40-50-year-old stand of Douglas fir and coastal fir. Smaller interspersions of pine and spruce (some older) and individual deciduous trees are also present. The fir and Douglas fir stand was planted by the forestry administration after the "state-owned" forest was cleared in the 1980s. Individual trees that were still too young at the time were left standing. The forest has not been managed since it was returned to the owners in 1990. As a result, the forest is currently relatively natural and thinning is conceivable or advisable. Given more space, the remaining trees would quickly catch up in terms of girth and height. The existing species seem better suited to the current challenges of the forest than the common spruce. Rarely do we have such a beautiful, healthy forest on offer that is so easily accessible.
