Westrich is the statistical district 76 and at the same time a district of the independent city Dortmund. It is located in the municipality of Lütgendortmund. The village was incorporated into Bövinghausen on April 1, 1909, with which it was then incorporated into the city of Dortmund on April 1, 1928.Westrich is located on both sides of Bockenfelder Straße, bordered by the Dortmund suburbs of Kirchlinde, Bövinghausen and Lütgendortmund and the city of Castrop-Rauxel.
