As a neighbor of the old town on the other side of the Weser, lies Neustadt, divided into a total of eight districts. The district offers a lot of variety: quiet residential streets in the Flüsseviertel, charming old Bremen houses, the Buntentor with its alternative flair as well as the commercial area on the edge along Neuenlander Straße. The proximity as well as good connections to the airport in the Airport City and the companies located there, such as Airbus, EADS, Brunel, etc., are highly appreciated by Bremen residents and their visitors. Large companies such as Hachez, Mondelez (formerly Kraft Foods) and InBev are located in the Alte Neustadt district. The recreational area Werdersee offers plenty of space for walks and bicycle tours in the Neustadt. The Red Cross Hospital and the Roland Clinic are located directly on the Werdersee.
